Starch- and wheat-based pellets are a highly valuable and shelf-stable product that can be marketed either in fried form or as raw pellets. However, this product must be fried before consumption. When sold in raw form, retailers may fry and package the raw product themselves, or it may be sold as-is, with the end consumer frying the required amount before consumption.<\/p>\n
The main ingredient of this product is starch, which can be mixed with other ingredients such as corn flour, potato, carrot, and more to produce pellets in a variety of flavors.<\/p>\n
The production process is as follows:<\/p>\n
The mixed ingredients are transferred from the mixer to the extruder feeder and then into the extruder. Inside the specialized extruder, which is equipped with a cooling system, the mixture is converted into a gel-like state and then extruded into the desired shapes.
The product is then fed into a shaping machine, where it is formed into various shapes. It is subsequently dried using a dryer and transferred to the packaging section, or conveyed to the fryer for frying before packaging.
