Corn flakes are a widely popular breakfast cereal, typically consumed with milk or chocolate milk.

In this production line, corn grits or corn flour, wheat, and other grains are used as raw materials. The raw materials are blended with various additives in a mixer and then conveyed by a screw conveyor to the extruder feeder and extruder. The extrusion process produces a textured (extruded) cereal product, which can be manufactured either with or without a filling.

Depending on the type of product, the extruded cereal is either transferred directly to the dryer or conveyed to a flaking machine, where it is processed into flakes. Following this stage, the product can be either dried or fried, depending on the desired product specifications. The entire process is carried out using fully automatic, all-stainless-steel equipment. The finished product is then transferred to a dragee/coating and flavoring machine for the application of coatings and flavors. The corn flakes (breakfast cereal) are then ready for packaging.
