Contrary to popular belief, processed rice can also be manufactured using an industrial production line. The raw material used for producing this processed rice is rice itself, and the production process is as follows:

First, cleaned broken rice remaining from rice milling operations is collected and processed into flour using a grinder. The resulting flour is then mixed in a mixer with a very small amount of water and fed into the extruder feeder and subsequently into the extruder. Inside the extruder, due to the high pressure and a temperature below 70°C, the rice flour is transformed into a gel-like state. It is then extruded through the openings in the extruder die in the shape of rice grains and cut into individual pieces by a cutter. After this stage, the product is transferred to a vibrating tray and then conveyed by an air conveyor to the dryer. After drying, the processed rice is transferred to a cooling table and subsequently conveyed to the packaging section.

It is worth noting that by adding various minerals or micronutrients to the product, the processed rice can be further fortified and transformed into a nutritionally enhanced rice product with potential advantages over conventional rice.
