Baby food, commonly known as cerelac, is a highly nutritious food product intended for infants from the neonatal stage up to two years of age. Since infants need to consume flour made from various grains, which cannot be consumed in their raw form or as bread, this production line processes different types of grains into a form suitable for infant consumption.
In this production line, raw grain flour or crushed grains, together with various additives, are thoroughly mixed in a mixer. The mixture is then conveyed by a screw conveyor to the feeder and subsequently to the extruder.
Inside the extruder, the ingredients are not only cooked but also undergo texturing, resulting in a suitable processed product. The product is then transferred by an air conveyor to the dryer, where it is thoroughly dried.
After drying, the processed product is conveyed by a screw conveyor to the sifter (Shifter) and then transferred to the crumbling machine (Cramble). The crumbling machine reduces the product to the required particle size and separates it into different sizes.
The finished product is then ready for packaging.
