Contrary to popular belief, rice can also be produced through an industrial process. The raw material for this product is rice itself, and the production process is as follows:
First, cleaned broken rice collected from rice mills is processed in a grinding machine to produce rice flour. The resulting flour is then mixed in a mixer with a very small amount of water and conveyed to the extruder feeder and subsequently into the extruder.
Inside the extruder, due to the high pressure and a processing temperature below 70°C, the rice flour is transformed into a gel-like state. It is then extruded through the openings in the extruder die into rice-shaped strands and cut into individual grains by a cutter.
After this stage, the product is transferred to a vibratory tray and then conveyed by an air conveyor into the dryer. After drying, the finished product is transferred to a cooling table and subsequently conveyed to the packaging section.
It is worth noting that by incorporating various minerals and micronutrients into the product, this type of rice can be transformed into a nutritionally enhanced product that can offer advantages over conventional cultivated rice.
